1st State Seed & Garden Supply

Huge selection of bird seed, anything you may need to grow a beautiful garden outdoors or indoors. These guys are extremely knowledgeable about everything in their store. Prices are very competitive but the best part of the whole experience is Basil the all black cat. He's super friendly and will follow you around the store and show you how to climb on all the merchandise. Don't forget to say hello. He's a very distinguished gentleman! 🐈

A friend recommended this place and advised me of how helpful the staff was, but my experience was not what I had hoped for. The person who helped me seemed agitated and disgruntled. After explaining to him what I was looking to accomplish I showed him a few pictures of my lawn hoping to get some advice on how to begin fixing the issues. His response after the 2nd picture was “oh that looks bad.” He showed me what he recommended but offered no advice, instead he moved on to try and sell me a $190 spreader. After asking a couple more questions I could tell I was getting nowhere fast and decided to move on with my purchase. I visited this small business in hopes of a better experience than I would get at a big box store but instead I think I paid a higher price for my items with about the same help I could have gotten from a Home Depot associate in the store that’s less than 200 yards away. Highly disappointed in my experience.
